A short manifesto

AI website builderYour AI is the builder.

Everyone talks about AI website builders. The real builders behind them are the big models. So build from the source: use the model directly, keep the code yourself, and host it like it matters.

Many AI site builders run on the same models you can use yourself. So go to the source.

ClaudeGPTGemini
01

Straight from the model.

Work with Claude, GPT or Gemini in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or ChatGPT. No extra layer of credits between you and your AI.

02

Your code in your GitHub.

Every change is a commit in a repository you own. Switch tools whenever you like. The code stays where it is.

03

Hosted like it matters.

Every push goes live on Cubli, with staging, backups we restore for real every week, a check every minute and your domain in your name.

Builders are great for a first version. When your site grows up, cut out the middle.Plans from €10 a month per project, excl. VAT. 7 days free, cancel any time.

Example conversation

A good AI
asks first.

You type one sentence: make a site for bakkerijdevries.nl. Before it buys or builds anything, your AI asks what you want. Click the answers and watch your plan fill in.

Make a site for bakkerijdevries.nl
Happy to. Before I build or buy anything, a few quick questions.
First the address. Shall I register bakkerijdevries.nl for you, in your name?A .nl is €15 a year excl. VAT. Renewing costs the same.
Your turn
The questions come from your AI tool, in its own words. Cubli’s tools make sure buying a domain always needs your yes.You can also start from a template, from GitHub or in the dashboard.

Your first website with AI

From idea to online.
Four steps.

For bakers, freelancers and club volunteers who have never written code. You need a computer, an AI tool and something to say.

What you need

  • A computer: Mac, Windows or Linux
  • An AI tool: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or ChatGPT
  • A Cubli account: 7 days free, cancel any time
Step 1 of 4

Pick your AI tool.

Claude Code and Codex work in a folder on your computer: you type what you want, they write the files. Cursor is a code editor with the same kind of AI built in. Pick one. You can switch later, the code stays yours.

Make a folder for your site and step into it.

$mkdir bakery && cd bakery

Install the tool first, from its maker’s website. You type commands in Terminal on a Mac, or PowerShell on Windows.

Step 2 of 4

Ask it to build.

Talk like you would to someone who makes websites. Say who it is for, which pages you want and how it should feel. Then look at the result and ask for changes, one at a time.

Your first question. Copy it, change the details.

AskMake a website for my bakery, Bakkerij de Vries. Opening hours, our breads and a contact form. Warm and simple.

Then improve it, one thing at a time.

AskMake the header bigger and add our address to the footer.

No question is too simple. “What does this file do?” is a great one.

Step 3 of 4

Connect Cubli.

Two commands. The first signs you in through your browser, the second gives your AI the Cubli tools: deploy, logs, domains and one click back.

Opens your browser. Sign in with two-factor, pick a workspace.

$npx cubli login

Gives Claude Code the Cubli tools. In Codex or Cursor, add the MCP server npx -y cubli mcp.

$claude mcp add cubli -- npx -y cubli mcp

Working with ChatGPT or Claude in your browser? Add Cubli as a connector. Then your AI can place a template like WordPress, connect a domain, read logs and roll back. Your own code comes in through GitHub or a coding tool.

In your chat app: settings, connectors, add a custom connector.

URLhttps://mcp.cubli.io

Prefer GitHub? Put your folder on GitHub and connect it in the Cubli dashboard. Every push goes live.

Step 4 of 4

Put it online.

One command builds your folder and makes it live, in about a minute. Or just ask: your AI checks the domain, asks you before it orders anything, then connects it to your site.

Builds this folder and makes it live.

$npx cubli up

Or ask your AI, with Cubli connected.

AskPut it online on bakkerijdevries.nl

Changed something? Run npx cubli up again. Later, npx cubli pull gets the live code back.

Pick your AI tool

Use the AI you like. It all reaches Cubli.

There is no wrong first pick. What each tool is good for, how it reaches Cubli, and the line to copy.

Claude Code

in your terminal
Good for
A real project you keep improving. It reads and edits the files in a folder on your computer.
You need
A terminal and a Claude account.

Reaches Cubli via

MCP

Your AI deploys, reads logs and rolls back.

$claude mcp add cubli -- npx -y cubli mcp
CLI

A folder online in about a minute.

$npx cubli up

Push, and every push goes live.

Codex

in your terminal
Good for
The same way of working, with OpenAI’s models. It works in your folder and runs commands for you.
You need
A terminal and a ChatGPT account.

Reaches Cubli via

CLI

in your browser
Good for
Your first steps, quick changes and asking “what does this mean?”. Nothing to install.
You need
A browser and a ChatGPT account.

Reaches Cubli via

Connector

Add Cubli as a connector. Place a template, connect a domain, read logs.

GitHub

When ChatGPT puts your code in GitHub, every push goes live.

Lovable

a website builder
Good for
A first version you can click through, quickly. You describe it, it shows you a preview.
You need
A Lovable project that syncs to GitHub.

Reaches Cubli via

Five things people believe before they start. Flip a card to see what is actually true, and what it looks like on Cubli.

Questions about building with AI

Straight answers. Something missing? Mail info@cubli.io.

Which AI tools work with Cubli?
Any tool that puts code in GitHub: every push goes live. Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can also use the Cubli CLI (npx cubli up) or the Cubli MCP. ChatGPT and Claude in the browser connect through https://mcp.cubli.io.
Do I need GitHub?
No. npx cubli up puts a folder from your computer online. Your code stays yours: it is on your computer, Cubli keeps every version, and npx cubli pull gets the live code back. GitHub is a good idea once you work with others or switch tools.
Can my AI buy a domain without asking me?
No. Ordering a domain always needs your yes. Your AI can search, show you the price and prepare the order, but it waits for you.
What does it cost?
Plans per project, excl. VAT: Static €10 a month for a static site, Standard €19 with a database and staging, Pro €39 for more room. Every plan is free for 7 days. We check your payment method with €0.01. Delete within the trial and the plan costs you nothing.
I built my site in Lovable. Can I host it on Cubli?
If your builder syncs your code to GitHub, connect that repository in the Cubli dashboard. Cubli builds it and puts it online, and every new push goes live.
What if my AI breaks something?
A failed deploy never replaces the working version: the previous one stays live. Did a change go live and you don’t like it? One click back in the dashboard, or ask your AI to roll back. Want to be careful? Use staging first.
Where does my site run?
On servers in Germany. Backups are stored in the EU: files every 6 hours, databases at least once a day, and every week we really restore a backup to test it.

Ask your AI. We keep it running.

Put your site online today. Every plan is free for 7 days, cancel any time.
