Choose what you copy to staging

When you put production on staging, you now choose which parts go along. By default everything goes, now including your site’s files.

What is new

• With Copy production to staging you tick what you want: Versions, Database content and Files.
• Files go along, like WordPress’s uploads, themes and plugins. Without them a WordPress site on staging stayed empty.
• Staging is offline for a moment while its data is replaced.

Why

Sometimes you only want to test a new version with the test data you have, and sometimes you want an exact copy of production.

How it works

1. Open your project and choose the staging environment at the top.
2. Click Copy production to staging.
3. Choose what goes along and confirm.
