You can read your Cubli mailbox in any mail app: on your iPhone, your Android phone, in Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird. Or simply in your browser through webmail at mail.cubli.io.
The details
You need these, the same in every app:
| Email address and username | your full address, for example info@bakerysmith.com |
| Password | your mailbox password (you chose it through the invitation) |
| Incoming mail (IMAP) | server mail.cubli.io, port 993, security SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) | server mail.cubli.io, port 465 with SSL/TLS (or 587 with STARTTLS) |
| Outgoing server requires sign-in | yes, with the same username and password |
Always choose IMAP, not POP. With IMAP your mail stays on the server, and your phone and your computer show the same folders and read messages. POP is not available on Cubli.
Forgot your password? Ask the admin of your workspace for a new one. They open Mail → your mailbox in the dashboard, and you get a link to choose a new password yourself.
Do you use two-step verification for your mailbox? Then make an app password for each mail app (for example “iPhone”). Mail apps cannot ask for a code; you enter that app password instead of your normal password. A shared mailbox (like info@ for several colleagues) has no password of its own: it shows up in your own mailbox by itself.
Often it works by itself
Is your domain with Cubli? Then most apps find the settings themselves. You only type your address and password. If that does not work, or your app asks for a server, enter the details above.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, your address, your password and a description, and tap Next.
- Choose IMAP. Enter
mail.cubli.iofor both Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server, with your full address as the username and your password. - Tap Next and Save.
On older iOS versions the path is Settings → Mail → Accounts.
Android
In the Gmail app (already on most Android phones):
- Tap your profile picture → Add another account → Other.
- Type your address and tap Manual setup → Personal (IMAP).
- Type your password.
- Incoming server:
mail.cubli.io, security SSL/TLS, port993. - Outgoing server:
mail.cubli.io, security SSL/TLS, port465, sign-in on. - Tap Next until the account is ready.
Using the Samsung Email app? The steps are almost the same: Add account → Other → Manual setup → IMAP account.
Outlook (Windows and Mac)
- Choose Add account (in the new Outlook: Settings → Accounts → Add account).
- Type your address. If Outlook asks for an account type, choose IMAP.
- In the advanced settings: incoming
mail.cubli.io, port993, SSL/TLS; outgoingmail.cubli.io, port465, SSL/TLS. - Type your password and click Connect.
Apple Mail (Mac)
- Open Mail → Mail in the menu bar → Add Account → Other Mail Account.
- Enter your name, address and password and click Sign In.
- If Mail asks for servers: account type IMAP, incoming and outgoing both
mail.cubli.io.
Thunderbird
- Choose Add account → Email.
- Enter your name, address and password and click Continue. Thunderbird usually finds the settings itself.
- Choose IMAP and click Done.
Your mail just moved to Cubli
Did you already have this address in your mail app, with your previous host? Then that account still points to your old server, and you no longer see new mail come in.
- Add the account again as above, with
mail.cubli.io. - Check that your messages and folders are there; Cubli moved them for you.
- Then remove the old account from your app. Your mail stays with Cubli.
You can also change the old account: set the incoming and outgoing server to mail.cubli.io, with the ports
above. Was the old account set to POP? Then make a new IMAP account.
Not working?
- Password is wrong: your username is your full address, not just the part before the @.
- Cannot connect: check that security is set to SSL/TLS and the port to
993(incoming) and465(outgoing). - Sending fails: turn on “requires sign-in” for the outgoing server, with the same details.
- Still not working? Mail support with the message you see.
