What is Static?

The smallest plan, for one site made of files, without a database.

Static is the smallest plan: for one site made of files, without a database. Such a site is fast and safe, because there is no database or admin to keep up to date.

What fits on Static

  • A site made with a site builder or framework that produces files: Astro, Hugo, Eleventy, Vite, or Next.js as a static export.
  • A site an AI tool built for you, as long as it is made of files.
  • A landing page, portfolio, documentation or menu.

What does not fit

  • WordPress, webshops and other sites with a database or admin.
  • Apps that run on the server, such as a Node app or an API.
  • More than one service in the project, and staging.

For those, choose Standard or higher. The dashboard shows this too: templates that need more than Static come with an explanation.

From Static to a bigger plan

  1. Go to Settings, Billing, Subscriptions.
  2. Click Change next to the project and choose a bigger plan.

Upgrading applies at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the period. Then you can add a database or a second service.

What the plans cost is on Pricing.
