Is a web agency working on your site? Link it to your workspace. The agency’s team then helps manage it, and you stay the owner. Only an owner of the workspace can link or unlink an agency.
Link
There are three ways:
- With an invitation: your agency sends you a mail. Click the button in it, choose your workspace and confirm.
- With a partner code: go to Settings, Partner. Under Work with a web agency?, fill in your agency’s Partner code, for example
NOORD-7K2, and click Link agency. - Your agency asks for access? You see it under Settings, Partner, in Requests from agencies. Click link to approve it, or Not now.
What it means
- The agency’s team becomes admin of your workspace. They can manage projects, sites, domains and DNS.
- You stay the owner. The agency cannot remove you or delete your workspace.
- Your invoices stay with you, unless the agency takes them over. You then get a mail about it.
Under Settings, Partner you always see Who pays and Who has access.
Unlink
- Go to Settings, Partner.
- Click Unlink under Unlink the agency and confirm.
The agency’s team loses access at once. Your projects, domains and sites stay yours. What the agency saw or set up, such as passwords, keys or a connection to their GitHub, does stay valid. Change those yourself if needed.
If the agency paid your invoices, you pay yourself from the next invoice. Make sure you have set up a way to pay under Settings, Billing.
Do you build sites for clients yourself? See Become a partner.
